Our father was a brakeman for the railroad in Washington DC at the Grand Central Station. He work there for many years until his accident on the railroad and was unable to work any longer. John lived in Capital Heights in a small 1 bedroom apartment with his daughter Becky for about 10 years before moving to Greensboro MD, which is across the bay bridge near Ocean City MD. They moved into their home where there was an old country store on the corner and one red light and one gas station in the whole town. John and Becky lived in that house for a little over a year and during that time John went into the hospital for open heart surgery. Shortly after that he sold that home and bought another a few blocks down the road, where they live for a few month before the untimely death of John due to a heart attack.
